Academic Salon for Climate Investment and Finance

Climate change is a global challenge. Addressing climate change is  a key issue of China’s sustainable development agenda.  Climate investment and finance will expand funding channels, and increase the funding utilization efficiency and provide a new mechanism for mobilizing more public, and private finance  for climate mitigation and adaption investment,which are regarded as a new opportunity for the green recovery of the globale conomy and a new opportunity for human society to combat climate change.


Last month, the organizing committee along with more than 50 organizations, institutions universities and academic journals have announced the 2020 Climate Investment and Finance Call for Research Articles. To further stimulate the innovative and creative thinking, explore the effective mode androute of development, provide the research support for climate investment and finance after the COVID-19 pandemic, the committee will organize a series of research seminars and panel discussions for the public. Experts, scholars and editors from our corporative organizations, universities and journals will be invited to share their cutting-edge research and experience on the topics related to climate investment and finance.

Form

The academic salon includes online seminars and webinars. For seminars, a number of journal editors and researchers will share their recent research on the topics of environmental protection, combating climate change and climate investment and finance, etc. The webinar will pool wisdom and consensus among global experts and leading scholars to advance climate investment and finance, to facilitate all counties to achieve the green and low-carbon recovery after the COVID-19.

Keynote speaker: Professor Brian Lucey, Trinity College Dublin




About Speaker

Professor Lucey has worked as a statistician in the Department of Healthand as an Economist in the Central Bank, prior to joining Trinity CollegeDublin. He has been at Trinity Business School, Trinity College, since 1992where he is now Professor of International Finance and Commodities. He has studied at the graduate level in Canada, Ireland and Scotland, and holds a PhDfrom the University of Stirling. He has published in excess of 150 papers in areas of international, behavioural, and commodity finance. He was the founding editor of the Journal of Behavioral and Experimental Finance and currentlyserves as the editor of the International Review of Economics and Finance andeditor in chief of the International Review of Financial Analysis. Previously hehas been editor in chief of three other journals. Professor Lucey is marriedwith one son.
