Climate Investment and Finance Article Call 2020 Launched

The Climate Investment and Finance Article Call 2020 is launched at the inaugural virtual session at China’s National Low Carbon Day Event on 2 July 2020. Climate Investment and Finance Association of the Chinese Society for Environmental Sciences (CIFA), in collaboration with our academic and industry partners, is excited to welcome new ideas to address climate investment and finance challenges from research teams around the world.

 

The article call aims to bring in theoretical innovation and to share best industry practice in climate investment and finance, with a focus on addressing global challenges in climate investment and finance. Li Gao, Director General of the Department of Climate Change at the Ministry of Ecology and Environment and Director of CIFA delivered a keynote speech in the session. “I would like to welcome scholars to contribute your thoughts. The expert panel will adopt a rigorous process in selecting and recommending working papers.”

The reviewing committee is co-chaired by Xie Zhenhua, President of the Climate Change and Sustainable Development Institute of Tsinghua University and Special Advisor on Climate Change Affairs of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, and Ernesto Zedillo, Director of the Yale Center for the Study of Globalization and Professor in the Field of International Economics and Politics (Former President of Mexico).  

 

The global article call aims to pool global wisdom and foster an atmosphere for the research on climate investment and finance. The call is jointly initiated and organized by CIFA, University of Edinburgh Business School, the Bartlett School of Construction and Project Management of University College London, School of Management and Economics of Beijing Institute of Technology, and Institutes of Science and Development of Chinese Academy of Sciences, co-organized by China Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Group, China Central Depository & Clearing Co., Ltd., Guangdong Reduce Carbon Technology Co., Ltd., Beijing Guohuan Rhein Environmental Co., Ltd., and China International Engineering Consulting Corporation, with the support of Agricultural Development Bank of China, ClimateWorks Foundation, Natural Resources Defense Council, and Environmental Defense Fund. The expert panel of article call consists of experts from more than 20 top universities in the world as well as 12 prestigious journals in finance, economics, energy and environment research fields.
